On Tuesday, the Sriracha Police led by the Suppressing Inspector Pol. Lt. Col. Sirisak Wongwiwat devised a sting operation, after receiving a report of drug dealing in front of St. Paul’s School in Sriracha. The officers surrounded the targeted area until a young man, identified later as Mr. Witawat or Bass Sing-bua-gaew, aged 20, showed up, and was acting suspiciously.
The police searched Mr. Witawat and found 3.9 grams of Crystal Meth, or as known in Thai, Yah Ice, on him. From questioning him, the police were lead to search 2 condominiums of Mr. Witawat, in different locations but in the same area, and found 669 Yah Bah tablets.
Mr. Witawat pleaded guilty, and stated that his drug dealing network received their orders from Chonburi’s Provincial Prison inmates. Their dealing methods were the usual - he would be informed of a location to pick up the drugs and where to drop them off to the clients. Further investigations and legal proceedings continue.
