On Saturday at 3: 30 am, the Pattaya Police led by Deputy Suppressing Inspector Pol. Lt. Pallop Ring-rod apprehended Mr. Katawut Pirompong, aged 30 from Huay Yai. He was driving a gold Nissan Frontier pickup past a checkpoint at the top of North Pattaya Road, and this the pickup had been illegally modified. Mr. Katawut was stopped just in time, before he tried to flee from the police.

The police searched the pickup and found a rifle with 2 bullets behind the driver. Mr. Katawut was sent for legal proceedings to the Pattaya Police Station on 2 charges, Carrying weapons in public without a proper reason and Possession of gun and bullets without approval.
