On Tuesday, the Sriracha Police Inspector Pol. Lt. Udom Goeygeb were called by the Sawang Prateep Rescue Team to investigate a death. The mishap occurred in a house in the Surasak Sub-district of Sriracha, where a woman had just been found drowned to death in her bathroom’s water reservoir.
At the scene, the body of Miss Siriporn Uootti, aged 37 was found covered by a blanket, and lying on the floor in front of the bathroom, with only underwear on her wet body. There was no foul play evident, and her husband Mr. Som Parntong, aged 39, stated that they drank together the night before, just like most evenings, and then went to sleep. When Mr. Som woke up, Miss Siriporn was not in bed, so he assumed she was taking a shower as usual. But after waiting a long time, his curiosity prompted him to check on her, and he then found Miss Siriporn head down in the 50- cm- high water container in the bathroom, which had only 20 cm of water inside.
Mr. Som managed to remove her body from of the container, and saw that it was too late to bring her back. Her body was sent for verification of death, before conducting a religious funeral.
