In the early hours of Thursday morning, Banglamung police were notified about a suspect suicide incident at the Banglamung Elderly Home. Upon arrival, police found the body of Mr. Teera, aged 77, in a pool of blood. Apparently, he had fatally stabbed himself in the stomach. Nearby was a 20 centimeter long knife on the floor. A nurse was at hand, and stated that he had lived at the home for 10 years, and had been diagnosed with mental problems. Mr. Sanan, a resident at the home, who discovered the body, stated that he saw Teera searching for something in the kitchen early that morning. A short while later the resident heard a scream coming from the kitchen area, and on investigating, saw that Teera had stabbed himself. Police made a report and are not ruling out any foul play in this tragic incident. The body was taken away for an autopsy.
