The first thing to say this week is how pleasing it was to play on the MOUNTAIN/LAKE course, which is now up to about 95% perfect. The second thing is how nice it was to play in glorious sunshine and dry conditions. Third thing to say was congratulations to Shaun Merriman after a struggling nett 74 yesterday to claim the first prize and the TRATTORIA ITALIANA voucher. This was poetic justice because a couple of weeks earlier he had checked the winning cards for the KPK FOOD SERVICES voucher and had declared Duncan McGee the winner. After rechecking the cards the day after, Shaun himself should have won. In second place today was yours truly, Mike Gerrard with a nett 75 and third was Mr. consistency Clive Robinson with a mere nett 79. Just goes to show, this course aint no pushover. Actually all the winners can thank Barry Copestake. He scored a fine nett 71 but defaulted by not returning to claim his prize at the presentation.
