This is a stand in report so again I apologise to all golfers for its abbreviated content. First off “A Happy New Year” to all our golfers at the Bowling Green Second another apology I have a photo but no report (I have mislaid it) for play on Thursday the 28th Dec But continue below with reports on the next three days out.
S a t u r d a y December 30th at Eastern Star Golfer of the Month (Colin Cronin) rounds it off with a B Flight Win in every way possible a very good way on which to end the play for 2006. It was our organiser Fergus that decided to finish his year on a high note with an A flight win. Whilst golfer of the month Colin Cronin made a B flight win his end to the year. RESULTS: A Flight: B Flight Fergus Brennan Colin Cronin Gary Cannings John Merritt Brian Blackford Petter Anderson Andy Raymond Hakan Hedland Dave Hewson Tony Geeland Ray Trembath John Robertson Closest to the Pins: Mashi Kaneta, Tewin Lamthong, Gary Cannings,Tony Oakes 2s: Mike Leighton and Stein Morisse Tuesday January 2nd at Eastern Star Derek makes it a good start to 2007 Excellent conditions and service as always! Some players were undoubtedly recovering from the effects of New Year activities but this did not stop some excellent play taking place. I particularly have to make mention of the eagle 2 on a par 4 by Fergus Brennan that gave him the only two’s win on the day. Well Done Fergus what a way to start a new year’s golf.
