Thursday February 8th at Treasure Hill Last time for a while for any visits to Treasure Hill Have to report that the day from the point of club. Organisation was a disaster. Basically there are just no real management skills in place at Treasure Hill. On arrival there were no caddies available. On trying to contact management to appease the situation it was found that they had all gone in to hiding. Will they never learn? Until they get their act together the Bowling Green has no plans to use the club or return in the near future. However, despite the difficulties found golf did take place off the yellow tees here are the results: Flight A Flight B Flight C John Merritt 37 hc 15 Tony Holehouse 39 hc 24 Mam Morel 36 hc 29 Bernie Segrave 36 hc 14 Paul Barker 38 hc 26 Les Burns 32 hc 35 Joe ODriscoll 35 hc 15 Stan Everingham 37 hc 17 Jack Robertson 32 hc 27
Near Pins: Stan Everingham, John Clements,Tom Herrington, Dick Warberg 2s: Neil Duncan, Michael Lonsdale, Stan Everingham (2)
Saturday February 10th at Eastern Star
Brian Heelan leads the A Flight home Another excellent turnout! Good Golf, tough but good conditions, good scores and as always competent and good management and assistance from the club. Fergus the organiser sidelined by a recent operation is not finding sitting things out to his liking.
His superlative organisational skills were put to the test at the presentation back at the clubhouse when it was found that a couple of mistakes had been made in his prepared winners lists much to his embarrassment. But he took it on the chin and all was quickly resolved. Fergus we all hope that you can get back behind the clubs soon. Results (play off the White Tees)
