The tourists stated that they had just checked into Mark Land Hotel for 2 days. That night they were walking on Pattaya Beach Road – around Soi 1 when two lady boys approached them and began talking to them.

During this seemingly innocent conversation apparently one of the katoeys stole one of their mobile phones without them realizing until later.

The police radioed out to patrollers to investigate at the scene and the patroller came back with a lady boy eye-witness who stated that one of the thieves is called Ray. He and his friend often pickpocket from unsuspecting foreigners and then quickly leave the scene on their bike.

The police have some details of these suspects and are now searching for them for a possible arrest.
