The winner for Group A went to ten times world champion, Mr. Alexeij Tsjizjow from Russia.  Second prize was former Russian World Champion r. Slawa Sjtsjockolijew, a veteran world champ in 1960 and 1964.  Group B winner was Mr. Marco Van Bronswijk, and winner for Group C was Mr. Leo Peters. All got trophies and prize money.  There was also a prize for Peter Blok from Holland who won a special price for the best combination during the tournament. Everything was under the supervision of the international referee Evert Davelaar, also from Holland.

This event has been encouraged three years in a row by the tournament director, Mr. Eric van Dusseldorp and Mr. Mathieu Corporaal – owner of the Tulip House. This year it has been very well supported by many businesses including the Camel Bar, Deano’s Wine Bar and the Jomtien Garden Resort.  Next year the game was to be held in Goa, India, but Matthieu stated that they have more sponsors for next year and it would again be held in Jomtien.  Pattaya has it all, so why change was the comments from sponsors and players alike.
