Islamic Bonds

Plans have been announced by the Islamic Bank of Thailand to issue Islamic sukuk bonds. The procedure for issuing sukuk bonds is different from that of other types of bonds because the underlying assets must comply with Islamic principals. Islamic banks are not permitted to receive interest from customers.
