Having a Field Day

P.S.C. Golf from Cafe Kronborg Thursday, 6th December 2007: Eastern Star (Stableford). See what happened on Monday, the players had a field day.
Now the same, essentially same, players were going to a Course that we all know is really tough, the question was how would they hold up? The answer was not very well. Reality is sometimes a nasty thing. This Course is a toughie, despite the fact that at present it is in really good condition. It looks like a 'Proper' Golf Course, with 18 holes, fine fairways and fast hard greens that for once are in good condition. Mind, it is a Golf Course that you can play well on; however, you must be in good form and play good shots. So what else is new? Mind, play a bad shot and you will not getaway from it without being punished. On this day with a light breeze how would the scores be? Well, the answer was pretty bad. In fact very bad! In the A Flight, 0 to 18, the winner was Roger Strine with 33 points ahead of Don Richardson with 32 points in second. In third was Walter Bachli with 32 points but losing second on countback. In the B Flight the winner was Jan Lovgren with 36 points ahead of J.C Lhoste in second with 34 points. In third was Brendan Byrne with 32 points on countback over Kevin Dinan and Chris Borrett. Near Pin: Roger Strine (2) Ebrahim Bob Rasmusson Long Put: Bent Moeller Walter Bachli 001 Roger Strine 003 Jan Lovgren Monday, 10th December 2007: Plutaluang. (Better Ball Stableford). The Plutaluang Navy North and West Layouts were the venue for a Betterball Stableford Competition. The Team of Hugh O'Donnell and Colin Swann took first place with 45 points ahead of The Kubicki Family, Richard and Carol, with 44 points in second. Patrick Browne and Peter Harris were third with 43 points with Jan Lovgren and Martyn Topham in fourth with 42 points on countback over Clive Robinson and Arthur Barrit. T.T.F.N.
