Golfers Celebrate at Tropical Bert’s

A big party was held at the Tropical Bert’s Beach Bar located on Pattaya 2^nd Road, on 23^rd April for golfers to celebrate after the annual Tropical Bert’s St. George’s Day Scramble.  (See Page 45 for full details). 

At the event prizes were also given out to the winners of the Golfing Charity Event.

The owner himself, Tropical Bert Elson, started this competition in 2006, from an idea put to him by Gez Tracy to raise funds for the blind children in the Redemptorist Blind School. From then on, Bert insisted on holding this special charity event every year on St. George’s Day, 23^rd April.

As for this year, many golfers participated in the event and the results are that the Wing’s Wonders with Mike Wing, Tony Oakes (Chairman of PSC Golf), Vince Smyth, and Dave Arrowsmith were the winners of this competition and received the trophy and prizes.

Other than that, there was a lucky draw, selling shirts, hats, and souvenir coins to add to the sponsors’ donations to raise 65,000 baht for charity.  Well done Bert and his A Team!
