Quality of Life for Disabled

A meeting was held at City Hall on the 12^th March with Deputy Mayor Ronnakit Aegasing presiding over a discussion concerning plans for developing the social welfare of disabled and handicapped people in Pattaya.  

Meeting about Foreigners’ Work Permits
Representatives from the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand headed by Mrs. Chuantas Prapaipis, director of One Stop Service Department, visited the Pattaya Immigration Office in Jomtien on the 11^th March. 

Entrepreneur Training Course

Mayor Niran Watanasartsatorn visited the Dusit Thani Pattaya on the 11^th March to preside over a training course for budding entrepreneurs in Pattaya, entitled “Ta Yad Chao Sua”, sponsored by The Siam Commercial Bank.  

License Checking for Bars

At City Hall, Deputy Governor of Chonburi, Mr. Komsan Akachai presided over a meeting on the 11^th March with police officers from various forces in Pattaya and bar and entertainment business owners. 

Religious Ceremony at Hospital Site

Deputy Mayor Weerawat Kahkai presided over a meeting at City Hall on the 10^th March to discuss the long awaited construction of the new Hospital in Soi Buakhao.

The 8^th Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR) is taking place on the 11^th to 13^th March at the PEACH Conference Hall in the Royal Cliff Beach Resort, Pattaya. 

Market Rules and Regulations Meeting

Father Worawuth Saraphan welcomed the Deputy Mayor of Chonburi, Mr. Revat Phonlookin and Mr. Chang Kornchanarath, Social Development Officer at the Job Recruitment Centre to the Home on the 6^th March.

Three New Checkpoints in Nongprue

In an attempt to build up peace and lawfulness and reduce crime in the Nongprue area, Mayor Mai Chaiyanit presided over a meeting on the 6^th March with Police officers, Civil and Police Volunteers and Patrol Police officers.

Computer Donation to Pattaya Police

In the afternoon of the 5^th March, Police Colonel Nopadol Wongnorm and his team at Pattaya Police Station received a visit from representatives of Mixx Discotheque in Bali Hai Plaza and the Sitpholek Boxing Camp on Sukhumvit Road. 

Jacket Donation to Police Station

Pattaya Police Station received a visit on the 4^th March by representatives of European Safety Concepts Company, headed by the managing director, Mr. Steve Graham to donate 100 jackets to the department.

Gone Fishing in Nong Yai

There have been a number of complaints about problems with a predator species of fish in a canal in Nong Yai.

Deputy Mayor Weerawat Kahkai, presided over a training project on 4^th March at Soi Buakhao Public Health Office, organized by members from the famed alternative medicine Chaophaya Abhaibhubejhr hospital in Prachin Buri.

There was another monthly public health Mobile Service programme provided by City Hall and this time held at on Soi 15 off Sukhumvit Road on the afternoon of the 4^th March.

The Chief District Officer of Banglamung, Mr. Mongkol Thamkittikhun presided over a meeting on the 4^th March with his team and police officers from various forces in Pattaya. 

SKAL Holds Meeting in Pattaya

The 30^th annual meeting of SKAL took place on the 1^st March at the Asia Pattaya Hotel.  

Traffic Police Receive Fluorescent Vests

A generous donation of 120 fluorescent night safety jackets was handed to Police Colonel Nopadol Wongnorm at Pattaya Police Station on the morning of the 3^rd March.

The Y.W.C.A. Pattaya presented a number of eye glasses to school children on the 3^rd March.  

Alcohol Ban Rules Upheld

There were elections held all over Thailand on the 2^nd March to elect new members for the Thai Senate.  

Students Receive Police Certificates

Two special guests went along to the Pattaya School Number 5 in the morning of the 29^th February to hand out certificates to students. 

Rubbish Collection in Pattaya

A meeting took place on the 28^th February at the Public Health office in Soi Pornprapanimitre.  

Garbage Management Recycle Bank

The Mayor of Nongprue, Mr. Mai Chaiyanit visited Noenplubwan School on the 29^th February to preside over a garbage disposal project that has been going on at the school for 5 years. 

Social Development for the Handicapped

On the 28^th February at City Hall, Mayor Niran Wattanasartsatorn presided over a meeting concerning social development for handicapped people.  

Traffic Light Problems on Sukhumvit Road

There have been a number of complaints about a section along Sukhumvit Road near North Pattaya Klang intersection where the traffic lights have not been working correctly, causing a lot of problems. 

Donation to Handicapped Man

A donation of 2,500 baht was given to a handicapped family at Nongprue Municipality in the afternoon of the 27^th February. 

Udon Thani Officials Come to Town

In the morning of 26^th February Mr. Pisai Panomwan Na Ayutaya welcomed a group of 14 officials from the Department of Local Administration in Udon Thani (Esarn) North East Thai province.

Hostage Negotiations Seminar – Day Two
It was day two of the very interesting seminar organised by the US Embassy in Bangkok and FBI involving hostage situations and negotiation techniques, which was initially held on the 26^th February at Chonburi Police Station. 

Meeting about Child Protection

A meeting was held at the meeting room at Pattaya police station on the 26^th February concerning the recent case of child abuse involving an underage boy being exploited by his father to roam the streets as a beggar.

On Monday 25^th February a training seminar conducted by the FBI and the American Embassy began at the Chonburi Police Station.
